The customer is a $1.6B clothing retailer operating primarily in the U.S., but also maintaining a small presence in Europe, Japan, and Australia. The client base operating model is to advertise via catalogs and sell clothes direct to consumers on its website. The company’s products adhere to a preppy, classic American style, are priced at a medium high price point, and are considered above average (but not luxury) in quality.
The customer is in the process of switching its platform over to run on top of the Hybris ecommerce platform. Hybris is a flexible eCommerce system that runs on J2EE making extensive use of Spring. The company's business operates separate websites for each of the customers they support. All of these websites will run on top of Hybris in the future. They contain a mix of front end and backend (Java/Spring) code of customer’s plan is to have do an initial launch of some small subset of websites on Hybris in August and then our team would take the “recipe book” for launching the sites on Hybris and continue to use it to move the rest of the clients' customers to it over the next year. In addition to moving everyone over to Hybris, you would be responsible for ongoing enhancements and also maintenance of the system.
